منذ الصباح وحتى الظهيرة، هاجم مسلحون سبعة كمائن أمنية على الطريق الساحلي بين رفح والعريش، منها كمينا قبر عمير والعبيدات قرب الشيخ زويد، بقذائف آر بي جي وأسلحة أخرى. وكان بين القتلى جنود ومدنيون. وتبنت «ولاية سيناء» الهجمات في اليوم التالي.

Sheikh Zuweid checkpoint attack

From the morning into the early afternoon, militants attacked seven security checkpoints along the Rafah–Arish coastal road, including the Qabr Emeir and Obeidat checkpoints near Sheikh Zuweid, with rocket-propelled grenades and other weapons. Soldiers and civilians were among the dead. Sinai Province claimed the attacks the next day.
